Terms of Service

The service
Shingle turns roof photos into draft inspection reports. The word that matters is draft: the AI gets you most of the way, but every report is yours to review, correct, and sign off before it goes anywhere. Reports are drafts until a licensed professional signs off — Shingle is not an inspector replacement and its output is not a professional diagnosis.
Your account
You need an account with a verified email to use Shingle. You're responsible for what happens under your account and your team's seats — keep your credentials to yourself and turn on two-factor authentication.
Billing and trial
Shingle costs $79 per seat per month, billed monthly. New accounts start with a 14-day free trial with a card on file: you're charged on day 15, or never if you cancel first. Cancel anytime from billing settings — you keep access through the period you've paid for, and there are no per-report fees or annual lock-ins. Details in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Acceptable use
Use Shingle for roof inspections you actually performed. Don't upload content you don't have the right to use, don't misrepresent AI-drafted reports as independently certified, don't try to break or overload the service, and don't resell access.
Your data
Your inspections, photos, and reports are yours. We claim no ownership over anything you upload or generate — we just need the rights required to store it, analyze it, and render your reports. See the Privacy Policy for what we collect and who processes it.
AI output
Vision AI is good and still imperfect. Tags, severities, and narratives can be wrong — that's why review and sign-off are built into the product. You're responsible for the accuracy of any report you export or share.
Liability
Shingle is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages — including claim outcomes, lost deals, or decisions made on a report — and our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. (Skeleton — counsel to finalize.)
Termination
You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or don't pay, with notice where practical. On termination you can ask for an export of your data before it's deleted.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, we'll email the account owner before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Shingle after that means you accept the new terms.
